Monetizing Proxified Pages - Posted At: 10-24-2007 11:13 PM
So, who should I use to get a little money out of the proxified pages on my proxies? I was considering AdBrite but heard they pay really poorly. Are there any other options?

You could try widgetbucks. I hear they pay more than Adsense. I don't have any experience with AdBrite, but I recently replaced the Adsense ads on my website with widgetbucks. I researched a little and they should work on a proxy with no problem. Plus, you get a $25 bonus right now for signing up. It's widgetbucks.com Best of luck to you.
*Edit* On second thought, you may want to give widgetbucks a little time to prove themselves. since they are brand new. A lot of webmasters are holding off for December to see if they pay off. Just FYI.

I have used AdBrite on proxified pages. They do not pay very much at all, perhaps a dollar per day. That is better than nothing though and on several proxies can add up over the course of a month. Another method I have considered is selling your own top banner slot on all proxified pages. Since proxies are high page impression sites, you might be able to get a few bucks that way.

I'd be interested in alternatives too. But it looks like AdBrite is the best option.

I also recommend AdBrite. A few dollars per day for each proxy is easily attainable if you have a reasonable (say >25K) number of page impressions per day. You should be looking at adding an extra $50/month per proxy through AdBrite even if you proxy is not that busy in terms of unique visitors. It just takes a little while to get going.

Sigh, I would so use AdBrite on all of my proxy sites, but I needed a Tax ID to sign up.
Any other alternatives?
I don't really want to try widgetbucks as I've read a lot of bad stuff about them.

What is wrong with Adsense? I have you had problems with them? I use adsense, and although they are strict on a lot of things, they work well for me.
